What BetCaddie is, how it works, and what it costs.
BetCaddie is a golf side games app built by a golfer, for golfers. It tracks 10 real golf formats simultaneously with USGA handicap math, and automatically calculates who owes who at the end of the round. No account required. Scorekeeping works offline — even where cell signal doesn't reach. Optional features like sharing a round via Match Code use the internet when available.
BetCaddie is available by subscription — weekly, monthly, or annual plans. Choose the option that fits how often you play. See current pricing on the App Store listing.
No — and you never will. BetCaddie doesn't have accounts, logins, or user profiles. Just open the app and play. The App doesn't require a name, email, or any personal information to operate. See our Privacy Policy for details on the limited data involved in the optional Share / Match Code feature and for non-subscriber ads.
BetCaddie is available on iPhone via the App Store. An Android version may follow in a future update.
Yes — scorekeeping runs entirely on your device with no internet connection required. Course data, scores, and game results are all stored locally, so you can use BetCaddie anywhere on the course, even with zero cell signal. Two optional features require the internet: (1) sharing a round via Match Code so others in your group can follow along, and (2) ads on the Follow Round screen for non-subscribers. Neither is required to use the App.

BetCaddie supports 10 formats: Skins, Greenies, Nassau, Best Ball, Wolf, Hammer, Las Vegas, COD / 6-6-6, Amigos, and 5-3-1. You can run multiple formats simultaneously on the same round.
Yes — that's one of BetCaddie's core features. Skins and Greenies work alongside any group game in the app — Nassau, Best Ball, Wolf, Las Vegas, and more. Enter scores once and every game updates automatically.
Just enter your GHIN handicap index and BetCaddie calculates your course handicap automatically. Based on the formats you've selected, BetCaddie recommends the percentage of handicap to use and applies it to every hole using proper USGA stroke allocation.
Not directly. BetCaddie recommends a handicap percentage based on your selected formats, and the GHIN app makes it easy to calculate what that number works out to. You then enter your adjusted handicap manually in BetCaddie.
It depends on the format. Most formats support 2–4 players. Individual formats like Skins and Greenies work with 2 or more. Team formats like Best Ball and Nassau require 2 or 4. Wolf requires 3 or more.
No. BetCaddie is a score and game tracker — it calculates who owes who based on the stakes you set, but it does not process, hold, or transfer any money. All payments happen separately between players. BetCaddie is an entertainment tool for informal, social golf games.
What we collect, what we don't, and how your data is handled.
The App itself requires no account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, or device identifiers to operate. No third-party analytics SDKs are integrated beyond the basic, aggregated Apple App Store Connect analytics. Two things to know: (1) if you share a round via Match Code, the player names and scores you entered are sent to our cloud provider and stored for up to 30 days; (2) non-subscribers using Follow Round will see ads served by Google AdMob, which collects device-level ad data. Subscribers see no ads. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
All data — player names, scores, and game results — is stored on your device using iOS's standard local storage. If you share your round via Match Code, the player names and scores you entered are transmitted to our cloud provider and stored for 30 days so your group can follow along. After 30 days, that data is automatically deleted. No other information — no email addresses, phone numbers, device identifiers, location, or payment data — is included with shared round data.
Rounds shared via Match Code are saved for 30 days, so anyone in the group can pull up the results anytime. You can also text the final results directly from the Results screen — the easiest way to share who owes who without anyone having to remember the numbers. To delete all local BetCaddie data at any time, simply uninstall the app.
For subscribers, BetCaddie will never show you an ad when entering or following a round. For the Follow Round feature, non-subscribers may see ads, which can be turned off with a subscription.
